Professor

  • PH.D., University of California - Riverside, 1983

Dr. Powers is interested in the evolutionary biology of nematodes. His research interests include the development of molecular diagnostics for plant parasitic nematodes, nematodes as invasive species, and nematode biogeography. NSF funded research projects have involved determining nematode diversity in remnant prairies of the Great Plains, humid lowland tropical rainforests, and agricultural fields in Nebraska.
