Dr. Harveson has statewide programming responsibilities for diseases of speciality crops in Nebraska, including sugar beets, dry-edible beans, chicory, chickpeas and other pulse crops, potatoes, sunflowers, proso millet, grass seed, edible amaranths, and other newly emerging alternative crops. His research program focuses on soilborne root diseases of sugar beets, bacterial diseases of dry beans and diseases of sunflowers.
