Dr. Satyanarayana Tatineni is promoted to  Adjunct Professor effective June 1, 2016. Dr. Tatineni works on wheat viruses in the areas of molecular characterization of viruses to develop methods for rapid and sensitive detection of wheat viruses; examine how viruses can cause diseases by studying the virus-host interactions, virus-vector interactions, replication of RNA viruses, gene expression and regulation of viral genes using molecular and reverse genetics approaches; and transfer this knowledge to control/minimize losses induced by viral diseases in wheat and other cereal crops using the conventional and non-conventional approaches.
