I completed my Bachelor's degree in Biology and Master's degree in Genetics at Hanoi National University of Education, Vietnam. I earned my PhD in Plant Molecular Biology from Korea University, South Korea. My doctoral work centered on transcription factors controlling flower development and secondary cell wall thickening in Arabidopsis. Post-graduation, I studied the influence of soil microbiome on Tomato root development and then conducted the functional studies on fungal degradation of industrial dyes and fungal pathogen-rice interactions. I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Plant Pathology, under supervision of Dr. Clemencia Rojas. My main focus is investigating plant-pathogen interactions at the molecular level, using model plants (Arabidopsis thaliana and Nicotiana benthamiana) and the bacterial pathogen Pseudomonas syringae pv tomato DC3000.
Outside the laboratory, I maintain a passion for scientific exploration through reading scientific books and watching nature documentaries. I like spicy and sweet food and enjoy cooking during my leisure time. I also make crafting educational toys for my children, combining their love for learning with family time.
