Dr. Gang Li is currently a research geneticist at USDA-ARS, focusing on wheat breeding. Previously, Dr. Li served as a Research Assistant Professor under the supervision of Dr. Richard Wilson in the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. With extensive expertise in plant-microbe interactions, Dr. Li's research centers on unraveling the molecular mechanisms of host-pathogen interactions and plant immunity. His work has led to significant discoveries, including the identification of key regulatory factors in pathogenicity, the uncovering of molecular mechanisms in pathogen effector secretion, and the development of advanced molecular techniques for studying plant-pathogen interactions. Dr. Li's contributions have been widely recognized, with publications in leading journals such as Nature Communications, Nature Microbiology, and New Phytologist. In addition to his research, Dr. Li is dedicated to mentoring students and fostering a collaborative research environment.
