I am originally from Hickory, North Carolina, and have been a member of the Department of Plant Pathology at UNL since 2018. As part of my position, I also serve as the Academic Success Coordinator for the Microbiology Program. Currently, I teach SCIL 101: Science and Decision-Making for a Complex World, MBIO 101: Introduction to the Microbiology Major, and MBIO 498: Independent Research. My research interests include phenotyping abiotic and biotic stress responses in maize and sorghum as well as student self-efficacy, belonging, and STEM identity.
