UNL to celebrate $20M award for soil, crops research

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln will celebrate a $20 million project designed to improve soil and crops in Nebraska and globally.

The event, 11:30 a.m. June 17 in the Beadle Center atrium, 1901 Vine St., will include remarks and researcher-led greenhouse tours. The celebration is free and open to the public.

Speakers will include Ronnie Green, UNL chancellor; Prem S. Paul, vice chancellor for research and economic development; Fred Choobineh, director, Nebraska EPSCoR; Edgar Cahoon, professor of biochemistry and director of UNL's Center for Plant Science Innovation; and James Alfano, professor of plant pathology.
