Tony Adesemoye Joins UNL Department of Plant Pathology
Tony Adesemoye joined the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in July 2014. He is an Assistant Professor based at the West Central Research and Extension Center in North Platte. His research focus is on soil-borne pathogens and integration of biological control with other plant disease management strategies. In his former positions, he carried out studies on various pathogens and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria. Most recently, he worked as a research scientist with Agricen Sciences. Previously, he had worked as research fellow III at Auburn University, university lecturer in Nigeria, postdoctoral scholar and later assistant specialist at the University of California Riverside, and research associate at Michigan State University. Tony received a Ph.D in Plant Pathology in 2009 from Auburn University.
