J.E. Partridge's Research

Dr. Partridge's research centers on the application of biotechnology to the study of plant host- parasite relationships as affected by environmental/biological stress.

Current research is directed towards developing molecular diagnostics for species differentiation in Claviceps and understanding the taxonomy, epidemiology and environmental responses of Claviceps spp. that cause disease on Sorghum.

Other research efforts include temperature relationships in soybean-Pseudomonas syringae pv. glycinea determined by molecular responses and the epidemiology of Grey Leaf Spot in corn.
